RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

1. Our Commitment

At Dashing Pets, your satisfaction is important to us. This Returns & Refunds Policy outlines your rights and options when returning products purchased from our website, in line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) of South Africa.

2. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)

You have the right to cancel an online purchase within 7 days of receiving the goods, provided that:

  • You notify us in writing (email or whatsapp) within 7 calendar days of delivery
  • You receive prior written authorization with a returns number for the return from Dashing Pets
  • Original Invoice is provided and proof of purchase
  • The goods are unopened, unused, and in their original condition and packaging
  • There is no damage or tampering
  • Products are free from hair, dirt, soil, contamination (including but not limited to punctures, tears, moisture) and in a condition that it can be sold again
  • The product does not bear additional labels or writing on it.
  • You return the goods at your own cost, unless the item was incorrectly delivered
  • A full refund (excluding delivery charges) will be processed within 7–10 business days after we receive the returned goods in acceptable condition.

3. Non-Returnable Items

Due to hygiene and safety concerns, the following items cannot be returned or refunded, unless they are faulty or misdelivered:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., pet food or treats)
  • Grooming products (e.g., shampoo, brushes)
  • Opened or used products
  • Beds and Pet Clothing
  • Special order or personalised items

Please ensure you choose the correct size or variant when ordering.

4. Incorrect Items or Short Deliveries

If you receive the wrong item or your order is missing products:

Notify us within 24 hours of delivery

  • We will arrange for the correct items to be sent to you
  • Any incorrect items must be returned in it’s original condition: unopened, unused, and in it’s original packaging without damage or tampering
  • Items will only be returned if they are free from hair, dirt, soil, contamination (including but not limited to punctures, tears, moisture) and in a condition that it can be sold again
  • The product does not bear additional labels or writing on it.

5. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact our support team with:

  • Your full name and invoice number
  • A brief description of the issue
  • Clear photos (if the product is defective or damaged)

We will provide you with instructions for return or exchange.

6. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed and refunded via EFT

Please allow 7–10 business days from the time we receive the item for processing

Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

7. Exchanges

We are happy to exchange items (where applicable) for another size, colour, or variant, subject to:

  • Stock availability
  • Items to be exchanged are unused, in original condition and packaging
  • Items to be exchanged are free from hair, dirt, soil, contamination (including but not limited to punctures, tears, moisture) and in a condition that it can be sold again
  • Shipping costs being your responsibility
